Choosing a Plot: A Vastu Checklist Before You Pay

Plot shape, slope, road position and surroundings decide most of a property's energy. Check these before booking.
Shape and proportion
Square and rectangular plots with balanced proportion are preferred. Plots with cut corners, especially in the north-east, need careful evaluation. Irregular shapes are not automatically rejected but must be assessed with the intended layout.
Slope, road and surroundings
A gentle slope toward the north or east is favourable. Note which side the approach road lies on, since it determines the entrance possibilities. Also observe adjacent structures, large trees, transformers and water bodies.
Verify before you commit
